GCPs are critical to automate data processing and ensure data accuracy and temporal analysis. After carefully following the guidelines about GCP design, number of GCPs, their positoning in the field, fixing them to the ground so they stay put during the drone campaign, and recording their GPS coordinates with RTK precision, the final step is to share these GCP coordinates in the right format.
The only principle to bear in mind is that, in order to align drone images correctly and ensure data quality, you need to share the appropriate GPS coordinates data with us, that means you have to send us:
- the latitude coordinate of each GCP (x)
- the longitude coordinate of each GCP (y)
- the altitude of each GCP (z)
- the coordinates reference system (CRS) used
